Training & Personal Development at Adbri

My manager has been great with this and has created plans which i really appreciate. however the grad program is non existent and unsure what support is meant to come from there.

Ilearn is an excellent platform for accessing various training materials; however, it could be enhanced by incorporating additional training sessions on diverse system applications.

For the quarry, Adam and Maxim have prepared a schedule for me to learn about different aspects of quarry operations, such as Load & Haul, Drill & Blast, Crushing & Screening, Geology and Geotechnical awareness. For the SA concrete plants, I have worked with Maxim to conduct the study of different plant capacities. On top of the job training, I have been nominated to attend Frontline leader Training in August 2024 to enhance my interpersonal and communication skills.

All of the safety training and health surveys. I also learned how to use the laboratory equipments. Before I came here, I heard mining engineer/quarry worker collect samples and lab technitian test it, so sometimes it took more than a month to get a result. but now I know how to use all the equipments in lab so I can derive a result within a week

Formal training courses have all been external, but well run. Training documents are available in the shared document structure, and while some are outdated, they generally give a good background about the necessary equipment and processes. A more detailed understanding could only be gained through exposure to projects and day-to-day work.

The training and development programs at our company are comprehensive and highly beneficial. On-the-job training is excellent, with opportunities to rotate through various secondments, providing hands-on experience across different areas. Informal training is equally impressive, as the company supports staff in pursuing further accreditation and studies. Through these programs, I've gained valuable skills in financial management, compliance reporting, and strategic problem-solving.
