Are you looking for a 2023 IT Graduate Programme with a commercial difference? At Ashurst, we're looking for IT Graduates like you with a rare kind of mindset: an openness to the way you work, agility to the way you think, and a strong desire to keep evolving as a professional.

As a global law firm with a rich history spanning 200 years, we've established ourselves as a leading adviser to corporates, financial institutions and governments, in all areas of the law including finance, M&A, disputes and competition. With 28 offices across the world's leading financial and resource centres, we offer the reach and insight of a global network combined with deep local market knowledge. In an era of ever-increasing technological change and demand, we recognise the importance of IT to the success of Ashurst.

If you want to enrich and expand your worldview, grow your skills and influence new ways of thinking, all within a global law firm, we'd like to hear from you!

Recruitment steps

Apply online before midnight on Monday, 4 April 2022.

Students must be in their final year of an IT degree to be eligible. You also need to have Australian citizenship or be a permanent resident at the time of application.

Complete our psychometric assessment and interview process

There's absolutely no Ashurst "type". We want to actively involve a broad range of minds with a broad range of backgrounds, all united by a common set of strengths. These strengths include a passion for Ashurst, outstanding communication skills, analytical ability, commercial awareness, teamwork and resilience.

Receive an offer to Intern with Ashurst during the June/July 2022 semester break.

The aim of our Internship is to expose you to as much real work as possible, to help you to make an informed decision about whether the Ashurst 2023 IT Graduate Programme is the right opportunity for you.

But it's not all work! There's also a chance to get involved in understanding the different Legal practices through workshops, team-building events to understand how we work together, and social events to get to know our teams away from the bustle of daily life.

Ideally, Interns will join Ashurst from Monday, 20 June through to Friday, 15 July, on a fixed-term, full-time basis. We will take into consideration exam timetables. In addition to gaining valuable experience, working as an Intern presents an opportunity for you to join our Graduate Programme. We offer most of our graduate roles to people who have completed an internship in one of our offices.

Ashurst 2023 IT Graduate Programme

If you secure a role in the Ashurst 2023 IT Graduate Programme, you will be part of a team that is involved in running the firm's technology and delivering programmes and IT projects from beginning to end. The programmes are closely tied to the strategic direction of the firm, as well as the policies and initiatives that are influenced and shaped by the change drivers.

Law students: In Queensland, Ashurst follows the Queensland Law Society guidelines. Applications for Clerkships will open on 18 July 2022. In addition to gaining valuable experience, a clerkship also presents an opportunity to join our graduate programme. We offer most of the graduate roles to people who have completed a clerkship in one of our offices.

Ashurst reserves the right to make changes to steps in the recruitment process.
