Your role

ABC Regional is seeking to champion emerging voices in the disability community in rural and regional Australia. 

This is an early career opportunity for people with lived experience of disability and an interest in telling factual stories that connect with Australians. You will spend 10 weeks working in an ABC regional station, developing your ability to create high-quality, compelling content for a variety of ABC platforms. You will be supported with a bespoke mentoring experience, based on location, needs, and goals.

You'll also have access to ABC Inclusive, the staff-led network for people with disability and their allies, and support from the ABC's Diversity & Inclusion team.

Salary & benefits

Regional Storyteller Scholarship roles may earn an average of A$49,800 to A$63,400. (Source: Prosple Salary Guide)
