What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
About industry average
Graduate, Auckland - 05 Nov 2023
Pay is pretty standard for the market but if they want to keep graduates in New Zealand the whole industry needs to pay up
Graduate, Tamaki Makaurau - 05 Nov 2023
In terms of pay and bonuses at my company, it's worth noting that the compensation, in comparison to other companies in the industry, is somewhat lower. Personally, I have not received a bonus as of yet. However, it's important to consider the overall package, which includes various benefits such as health insurance and opportunities for growth, as well as the work environment and culture, which many employees find to be valuable in addition to their compensation.

it is very low :(
Graduate, wellington - 01 Nov 2023
Pay is not as competitive compared to other companies.
Graduate, Wellington - 01 Nov 2023
Entry level grad salary is relatively standard, however, the pay rise increments with career development lags significantly behind what I would hope for/expect.
Graduate, Auckland - 31 Oct 2023
Grad pay is fine but increases come slowly and are often not as much as other companies seem to give their grads.
Graduate, Auckland - 31 Oct 2023
Seems to be your classic corporate graduate case - get bugger all but then get rewarded for what you bring to the table later on. I think this is an improving area of the company as well so prospectively I'd say my thoughts on pay and bonuses is pretty positive. The trade off for the exponential career growth so early on in your career is worthwhile in my opinion. I live at home with parents too so I suppose my awareness of how the salary goes with the cost of living at the moment is pretty low relative to other graduates who are battling to pay rent and have a decent lifestyle - but that's just most people in their 20s these days...

I believe compared to industry, it is below average.
Graduate, Auckland - 31 Oct 2023
So far it could be increased as is pretty low compared to industry standard numbers coming form Engineering Nz
Graduate, Tauranga - 30 Oct 2023
We get an increase in our pay as we level up in our career and go from being Grads to intermediate.
Graduate, Tauranga - 30 Oct 2023
I have not been impressed with the pay or bonuses so far. I started last year and have received one 2k bonus in this time. I have raised some issues with this years November bonus as I know that I will be earning less than the over grads in my team due to the time of start.
Graduate - 30 Oct 2023
I think my pay is fair, and at my level is around market level. I know looking ahead the company will start to fall behind.
Graduate, Auckland - 30 Oct 2023
i believe with the qualifications and in the profession im in im being somewhat underpaid
Graduate, christchurch - 30 Oct 2023
It is industry average or I am above the average, but I received a new remuneration package for my masters and it was massively under whelming.
Graduate, Wellington - 30 Oct 2023
Pay is at market rate for the type of company however as a chemical engineer I could be making a lot more working directly for an industrial company. Pay increase rate is lower than at other companies - it is not until you have 6+ years experience that you become eligible for the bonus and see a competitive salary. There is no pay negotiation at graduate level and for the first two years performance ratings do not affect your pay increase. This is for my team in particular, I think it varies between teams.
Graduate, Auckland - 30 Oct 2023
Have not received any yet despite being led to believe we get raises every 6 months in the graduate program and having started 8 months ago.
Graduate, Auckland - 30 Oct 2023
Could be better
Graduate, Tauranga - 30 Oct 2023
I think there needs to be some consistency around the rem value that is provided from year to year to ensure that there is an appropriate difference in pay between the 1st and 2nd year graduates with the change in experience.
Midlevel - 30 Oct 2023
Poor and not competitive. Do not see an increase in the first five years even when you become a very valuable employee
Graduate, Auckland - 30 Oct 2023
