The main purpose of this role would be to aid the project managers and engineers with a variety of design tasks on projects.
Objectives:
Supporting project teams with analysis, design, and reporting tasks.
Developing and maintaining competencies consistent with the practice of a professional engineer.
Ensuring that all work is undertaken in accordance with the appropriate legislation, corporate requirements, and systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Technical reporting.
Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and actively participating in interdisciplinary workshops as required.
Liaison with Consultants and Contractors as required to manage projects.
Assisting with marketing and promotion of BG&E including submission of proposals.
Preparation of construction documentation and specifications.
Construction support including response to RFIs and attending meetings.
Writing proposals and reports.
Directly contacting clients.
Visiting sites for inspections.
Scoping of projects.
Project Engineering and Project Management activities.
Buildings-based project work.

About you
To succeed in this position, you'll bring experience such as:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of the MS Office suite of tools is essential, experience using AutoCAD or similar modelling tools -beneficial.
A strong desire to learn and solve problems in a team context.
The ability to multi-task and self-prioritize workload.
High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
