The Berry Domestic Horticultural Graduate is a specialised Graduate position. As a graduate of this program, you are likely to kick off your career with a dedicated set of responsibilities – under the guidance of experienced staff members. This role will be based at the Berries FNQ farms, which are in Atherton and Walkamin.
As a Berry Domestic Horticultural Graduate, you will be working closely with experienced Berry horticultural teams. You are likely to spend the majority of your time in FNQ, though at times you may be required to travel to support the business’s different Berry growing seasons.
In this role, you will take on important responsibilities within the Horticultural teams to support the monitoring of crop operations. This could include fertigation and nutrition management, irrigation agronomy and management, substrate management, canopy management, and IPM. You are also likely to support the grower base in the integration of preharvest and postharvest activities to ensure that yield and quality are optimised. Where required, you will be asked to assist in developing and/or initiating activities to capture and improve crop performance through practical and research-based tasks.
