Jasmine Mario

I will try to get all the tasks on my agenda completed. If I do not, I make sure to leave a note for myself of any work that needs to be done the next day I am in.

6.00 AM

Wake up time! I like to wake up 30 minutes before getting out of bed. I use this time to mentally prepare for the day and also scroll on my phone.

6.30 AM

I finally get out of bed, brush my teeth, do my skincare and hair. Afterwards, I apply my makeup and put on my outfit for the day.

7.30 AM

After getting ready, I will pack my bag for work and then eat my breakfast.

8.00 AM

I leave for work! I usually commute by catching public transport and then walk to the office. I prefer to arrive at the office approximately 30 minutes early so I can settle in at my desk and make a quick coffee.

8.30 AM

Arrived at work! As I enter the office, I always greet my colleagues and head towards my desk. I unpack my bag and make sure that I always have my water bottle next to me. Gotta stay hydrated!

9.00 AM

I start my day but checking my emails to see what I need to catch up on or view any new information I need to know. After that, I ask my supervisor what tasks need to be completed during the day. Lastly, I write down my agenda for the day and get started.

9.30 AM

The agenda I have written for the day will always be different! Tasks for the day can include assisting in sourcing candidates for open roles through various websites like SEEK, conducting pre-screening calls, administration tasks, etc.

12.00 PM

It’s lunch time! I usually bring my own lunch, and sometimes sit with my colleagues in the breakroom or by myself at my desk. I take this time to unwind a bit or chat with my colleagues, and ask them about their plans for the weekend.

1.00 PM

Back to work! I will continue with the tasks I have on my agenda. I would call candidates for open roles they are interested in and ask background questions. When I call a candidate, I always ensure to introduce myself and ask them how their day is going. Eventually, I will inform them about the role, ask if they are interested and then, depending on their answer, I can book the candidate in for a pre-screening with my supervisor.

2.00 PM

I continue finding potential candidates through SEEK and contact them directly. When screening resumes, I look for good tenure and relevant skills that match the role. This process helps me learn what makes a good resume.

3.00 PM

I handle administrative tasks such as following up on candidate inquiries, updating resumes, and completing candidate profiles for employers.

4.00 PM

I will try to get all the tasks on my agenda completed. If I do not, I make sure to leave a note for myself of any work that needs to be done the next day I am in. If I am done with my agenda, I will ask my supervisor if there is any extra work they’d like for me to do.

5.00 PM

It’s home time! Before leaving work, I would say goodbye to my colleagues and walk to the train station to commute home.

6.30 PM

Finally, home at last! I will freshen up and prepare my gym bag before leaving the house again. I would get to the gym, do my workout routine, and use this time to unwind my brain by listening to my favorite songs. Once I am done, I will head back home for dinner.

9.00 PM

Almost bedtime! I will do my nightly routine and then settle in bed with a book to read. To avoid distractions, I activate the ‘Do Not Disturb’ feature.

10.00 PM

Finally, it’s bedtime! Goodnight!
