GM Australia & New Zealand Portfolio Planning:

  • Support Business Planning (BP) process with portfolio data as required, incl. competitive product plans & support GM BP review process
  • Support the development of future model volume estimates. Generate reports from the FCAI volume reporting system (“CUBE”)
  • Develop & maintain vehicle content documents – S&O/PPC & Model line-up summaries
  • Develop & maintain pricing Feature Adjust/Comparably equipped summaries
  • Research and maintain competitive (benchmark) product information
  • Support the development of an accessory portfolio, including working with Premoso to ensure accessories meet local requirements
  • Complete detailed reviews of the vehicle specification documents, eg PDS, brochures, merchandising material, Corporate Affairs material, sales training material, Dealer Bulletins etc
  • Manage & maintain key business records – meeting minutes, presentations etc
  • Order of pre-production vehicles & manage the vehicle ownership
  • Support cost reduction & efficiency initiative for conversion business with Premoso
  • Raise and manage Change Request (“CR”) document for vehicle content changes 
  • Assist with the development of recovery action plans to address any threats to a particular program
  • Assist in the preparation of program status reports (1 page) for issue to the GMSV SLT as required
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with Marketing and Aftersales departments throughout the product planning process

GM Australia & New Zealand Dealer Development:

  • Support Dealer Development Manager with special assignments across GM Specialty Vehicles and Aftersales networks
  • Actively identify and suggest opportunities for improved efficiency in the network

About you

Qualifications:

  • You’re an enthusiastic individual with a desire to learn.
  • You are currently completing a relevant undergraduate degree (Marketing / Commerce / Engineering /Business related degree) with a minimum of two semesters remaining (post internship in 2026)
  • If you have a strong interest in cars and the motor industry, an interest in worldwide vehicle and social trends and/or an interest in customer product needs and customers motivations and perceptions, this role is for you

You can demonstrate:

  • Ability to logically analyze situations and trends and present recommendations, both orally and in writing
  • Self-motivated with a strong action focus
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information
  • High-level attention to detail and deadlines
  • Capable with the MS Office Suite of hardware
  • Capable of working well with other people, assertive when appropriate
  • Empathy with the customer – capable of giving a balanced view on behalf of the customer
  • Strong multi-tasking capability, and big-picture awareness

This is a 12-month internship role commencing in January 2025.
