At GHD, we don’t just believe in the power of commitment, we live and breathe it every day.

That’s why we pledge to empower all our people to make a positive impact. Together with our clients and partners, we're applying inspiration and a powerful spirit of connection to respond to some of the most complex challenges facing our world.

If you want to start a career with impact, from solving everyday problems through to tackling some of the great challenges our clients and communities face, you’ll find that here at GHD.

You might think that sounds like marketing spin, but that’s the lived experience of our graduates, who participate in opportunities across the business, whether in different teams, different locations or different career pathways.  We’re a business built on finding your path in a supportive, collaborative environment.

We know community impact is important to our staff.  Our GHD in the Community program partners with not-for-profit organisations to provide opportunities to work on pro-bono projects, volunteering and fundraising for philanthropic and humanitarian causes.  As a business we also funnel some of our profits into the GHD Foundation, a registered charity that works to address disadvantage and inequality in children accessing STEAM education in our countries of operation.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for TAFE and/or Associate Diploma Students interested in the Civil and Structural drafting and documentation technician areas. Positions are available in our Melbourne office.

Whether you are a recent graduate or someone completing their final year of studies, we have opportunities in our Digital Design business group. If you’re interested in working on varied projects across a range of clients as a Drafter, Modeller or Documentation Technician, this could be the ideal role to learning and building a career within a team of industry experts.

What can we offer you?

Outside of the technical development you’ll gain working within your team, you’ll also join GHD’s Graduate Development Program. The Graduate Program will connect you graduates across Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.  It has been designed for future portability, so that no matter where your graduate position in GHD takes you, your learning experience will be impactful and consistent.

During the two-year program, you’ll learn about our business and our values, your team and most importantly, yourself. You’ll develop your decision-making, communication, technical and leadership skills and mentoring.

We offer optional rotations in the second year of your program to help explore your career pathways, a structured approach to promotions and salary reviews over your first two years and a culture that is friendly, inclusive and not built on hierarchy.

What happens after you apply?

Once we receive your application, it will be reviewed by one of our Talent Acquisition team members who manage each of our regions. If your application is shortlisted, we will get in touch with you for a Video Interview, where you’ll get the chance to introduce yourself and make another positive impression on both our TA team and hiring managers.

How do you apply?

  1. Select the "Apply" button
  2. Please allow up to 10 minutes to complete the questions.
  3. Upload a copy of your updated cover letter, CV and academic transcript/s.

If you’re successful through our recruitment process, your full-time permanent position will start in February 2024. There may also be ongoing opportunities for casual work throughout your final year of studies.

Interested? Apply now.
