Culture at Honeywell Australia and New Zealand

8.4
8.4 rating for Culture, based on 18 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Great mix of work ethic and knuckling down, coupled with enjoyment and socializing. There is no big divides between management layers, besides knowing who to go to for approvals and loop in to make big business decisions.

Socialization is encouraged with a very interactive graduate program; through weekly grad huddles and each graduate being assigned a buddy who can help guide and show the ropes. Everyone in the organization seems friendly and open to chat at any level.

Honeywell's company culture is highly collaborative and supportive. In the office, there is a strong emphasis on teamwork and continuous learning, with colleagues always willing to share knowledge and assist each other. After hours, the company fosters a sense of community through various social events and networking nights, which are great for building relationships and learning from peers. The only reason I am giving a lower score is that I am almost always on site, so I miss out on some of the office culture. However, the culture in the office location is quite good, and there are several networking nights that offer opportunities for socializing and professional growth. The structure and hierarchy are clear, which helps in understanding roles and responsibilities, but there is also a lot of cooperation and teamwork across different levels.

No call after working hours, mostly work life balance.

The people are friendly and reasonable. There are a good number of shared hobbies and people seek to do things together in and around work hours. There is good support from the hierarchy but it also doesn't feel overbearing or too restrictive. Managers are available and easy to talk to.

everyone is very nice, some keep to them selves and when engaged are willing to help/have a chat.

I think the company culture is quite good, people in the office are quite friendly during office hours. In my team, I feel comfortable to speak candidly to my peers and the manager about problems I'm facing at work and beyond work. Team dynamics is positive, people are generally supportive. On the socialising front, most colleagues seem to be a bit more introverted and not that social. We do have occasionally drinks night organised for the office.

There are lots of engineers in my area of the business so not the most social but that's fine. I know other parts of the business are more social so depends what you want.
