The Opportunity
Our graduate roles are permanent full time positions, that involve a comprehensive two year graduate program designed to empower and enable you to make a real difference at Iluka and a positive impact to your career.
With the support of our experienced employees to guide and mentor you, our graduate program is designed to provide the best experience and to further develop your existing knowledge and skills.
The program is structured around four rotations and you will be given the opportunity to work across some of our locations throughout Australia. The program will commence February 2023.

Disciplines
Mining Engineering
- Active involvement in a wide variety of mining, production and planning activities and facilitate mining based risk assessments
- A recent graduate with a degree in either Mining or Civil Engineering or Engineering Science
Mechanical Engineering
- Exposure to all aspects of mechanical engineering such as root cause analysis, reliability improvements and maintenance strategies
- Exposure to small capital projects including scope definition, detail design, construction and commissioning
- A recent graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering
Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
- Theoretical aspects of unit operations to assist with your development and competency
- Hands-on, practical approach to apply theory and knowledge in the field
- A recent graduate with a degree in either Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
- Exposure to all aspects of process control engineering such as optimisation projects, reliability and integrity improvements.
- Exposure to small capital projects including scope definition, detail design, construction and commissioning
- A recent graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering
Occupational Health and Hygiene
- Exposure to the identification and management of a wide range of occupational health and hygiene stressors through all phases of the mining life-cycle
- Opportunity to apply theory and knowledge in the field, including exploration, projects, mining and processing
- Ergonomics, Occupational Hygiene (Post Graduate) or similar
About You
- The right to legally live and permanently work in Australia
- Flexibility to travel and reside in various locations within Australia
- Hold a current and valid Australian C class Drivers Licence
- Possess strong communication, leadership, problem solving and interpersonal skills including influencing and decision making
- A recent Australian university graduate
