Requirements to work at Leidos

Like other suppliers to the Intelligence industry, Leidos requires candidates to be Australian Citizens and be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance. Those students who do not meet these requirements will unfortunately not be considered for a graduate role at Leidos Australia.

Speakers

Linda Vu - Software Engineer

Linda is a Software Engineer at Leidos Australia. She started her career as an intern in 2022 and now specialises in full-stack development with a growing knowledge in DevOps. She is focused on developing software solutions, addressing customer issues, and values collaboration with her team to meet the clients' needs effectively. Linda has recently completed her Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering at RMIT. Her enthusiasm for knowledge and innovation keeps her engaged in her work and open to new learning opportunities.

Zachary Mason - Network Engineer

Zach is a Network Engineer at Leidos Australia. He works on developing network systems from network traffic flow, to load balancing and patching for projects. When he can he also assists in developing automation scripts for consistent and repeatable processes.  He joined Leidos as a Systems Engineer after graduating from ANU with a Bachelors Honours Degree of Engineering. He is passionate about learning and problem solving. He enjoys being challenged and working with his team.

Henry Campbell - Software Engineer 

Henry is a Software Engineer with Leidos Australia, originally joining as a Grad in 2023 after completing his bachelor’s degree in computer science at the University of New England. Day to day, Henry works on a range of activities including everything from solving complex problems using code, to engaging with a variety of stakeholders across various projects. Henry’s favourite aspects of working for Leidos are the people, the interesting problems, and the constant opportunities for growth.

Paul Tiktikakis - Project Coordinator 

Paul is a Project Coordinator at Leidos, with a Master of Project Management with Distinction from RMIT University and a Bachelor of Science Majoring in Neuroscience from The University of Melbourne. He joined Leidos in 2023 as part of the Graduate Program, where he was able to work across multiple projects around the organisation. In his role he assists projects to stay on time, on budget and at a quality standard. He assists with pre contract approvals, scheduling, governance, risk management and the monitoring and controlling of a project lifecycle. He is passionate about problem solving and developing his Project Management skills.

Murray Bruce - Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) Vice President

Murray Bruce is the Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) Vice President at Leidos Australia, where he and his team are delivering powerful benefits for customers through collaboration, bold decision making and innovation. They are focused on being essential and making a critical difference for the customer. Murray joined Leidos in 2018 and prior to this, Murray has extensive experience working across Australia and New Zealand in the finance, telecommunications, government, communications and natural resources sectors. He also held integral roles supporting the Department of Defence through significant information systems consolidation and transformation on various projects. Murray’s recent focus in Leidos has been on integrating engineering and flight safety in our newly acquired Airborne Operations, strengthening our Mission Software Factory and expanding our early careers program to bring in even more interns and graduates per year.

Michelle Israel - National Early Careers Lead

Michelle is the National Early Careers Lead at Leidos Australia leading the graduate, intern and trainee programs across Australia. For over 7 years, Michelle has managed the early careers space at Leidos and is passionate about helping individuals starting out in their careers or individuals making a career change and setting them up for success. Michelle started her career as a graduate, after experiencing the classic dilemma of not being able to get a job without experience and needing experience to get a job - a common career catch 22. Prior to Leidos, Michelle worked in recruitment and organisational development across a variety of industries and sectors including Business and Finance, Healthcare, Local and State Government.
