Who is Minviro?

We’re a SaaS and consultancy start-up currently providing life cycle assessment services to the raw materials and downstream technology industries, making sure that the metals and minerals required for a low-carbon society are sourced at minimum environmental cost.

The transition to a low-carbon economy will require a significant amount of raw materials. We are passionate about ensuring these are sourced in an environmentally responsible way. We’re a team of ~40, with offices in London, Shanghai and Perth. This is an exciting time to join Minviro as we continue in our growth journey.

With a newly established presence in Perth, we are looking to expand our team.

The role

As an LCA Analyst, you will support our consultants to deliver life cycle assessments for our clients, mainly working in the mining, materials and metals space. Once trained you will manage the delivery of your own projects and support colleagues with theirs, collaborating to share knowledge and deliver the best solutions for our clients. It is a client facing role, developing relationships, delivering services, and securing further opportunities for impact reduction. You will also have the opportunity to be part of our research and to represent Minviro at international events and conferences.

What will you be doing?

You will support consultants through the entire project cycle from the client introduction meetings to developing proposals, running presentations through to report writing and project closure.

You will be taken through our onboarding training programme to quickly upskill you in our LCA methodologies.

Analysts typically start to lead projects after 6-12 months, made possible through our structured training, quality assurance and collaborative support culture.

You will work with clients to understand their needs and deliver LCA models, approaches and solutions, making considered and impactful recommendations.

What we’re looking for (the essentials):

  • A background or interest in mining, metals and/or battery manufacturing
  • An understanding of LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), environmental management or ESG
  • Project and stakeholder management ability
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excel skills in conducting numerical analysis and modelling
  • Good technical analysis ability; handling data, interpretation and results generation
  • A willingness to learn and develop in the role

Benefits (Aus):

  • Competitive starting salary
  • Working in an experienced, close knit team with great opportunities for advancement in a fast-paced working environment and plenty of exposure to large-scale issues (e.g. the decarbonisation of mining)
  • A brand new laptop and accessories of your choice
  • Opportunities for domestic and international travel for conferences and events and company-wide meetups
  • WeWork office with excellent facilities and regular social events
  • Competitive Superannuation contribution
  • Exciting time to join Minviro in terms of company growth and opportunities
  • A hybrid-friendly work environment
