Job Description

Are you a recent graduate with an Allied Health or similar qualification? This exciting role in life insurance is for you!

As a Claims Associate, you will be working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to support our customers at their most vulnerable times. The team support each policyholder and member through the claims process and recovery pathway to return to health or best of life with integrity, fairness and compassion. They strive to make the right decisions and support ethical and fair outcomes.

We are looking for recent grads who are looking to kick start their career in the life insurance industry. Upon commencing you will start with a group of new workmates where your first few months will be spent in training learning more about our products, processes and systems. Working within our Hybrid model, you will then move into your new team where you’ll be supported by your Lead and SMEs in the business as you begin to pick up a portfolio of claims.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing claims from initial assessment through to claim closure;
  • Working with individual & team SLAs ensuring our customers get the support they need during their time of need;
  • Collaborating with our Consultants and Quality Assessors to improve the outcomes for our customers;
  • Ensuring every interaction is conducted with empathy and respect;
  • Contributing to system and process improvements; and
  • Maintaining our risk and compliance measures.

About You:

  • 1-2 years experience working in a customer service environment;
  • Allied Health qualification and/or occupational rehabilitation experience or relevant tertiary qualifications;
  • Some experience in the Allied Health & Rehabilitation Sectors (desirable);
  • Ability to establish rapport and build meaningful relationships;
  • Experience in working in a highly collaborative environment; and
  • Resilient and outcomes focussed.
