We are seeking Graduates who genuinely want to be part of a regional community. To us, this means people who care about the impact they make. Our program is for recent graduates who are committed to the future of agribusiness and are looking to start a career in regional or rural Australia.

Our exciting Graduate program offers hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment supporting customers across our regional locations. We’re committed to developing a pipeline of agribusiness bankers of the future and helping graduates move into successful and rewarding careers here at NAB.

About R&A

NAB Regional & Agribusiness brings together a dedicated, specialist team with business bankers from across regional Australia. Our team includes general business bankers and specialist business bankers in Agribusiness, Health, Private, Professional Services, Government, Education, and Community.

We deeply understand the unique needs and challenges facing business in regional Australia and are dedicated to helping our customers to grow. We are customer obsessed, in genuine partnerships with our customers, enabling them to grow and succeed.

In this Graduate role you will,

  • Undertake a 4-month rotational based program designed to give you a foot in the door in a career in Regional and Agribusiness Banking at NAB.
  • Learn and develop with opportunities aligned to building critical skills for a future in banking
  • Have the opportunity to connect with past Alumni Grads and foster mentoring relationships
  • Experience working closely with high-performing agribusiness and business bankers in regional and rural areas of Australia
  • Participate in industry learning and ongoing skill development
  • Be provided with networking opportunities with fellow R&A graduates and employees
  • Gain exposure supporting our customers and communities
  • Explore opportunities to create a positive social impact via community and customer engagement programs
  • Be supported and placed into a permanent role during or after successful completion of the graduate program

What you’ll bring: 

  • Proven customer service skills and a passion for Regional Business & Agribusiness.
  • Effective relationship management skills.
  • Prior working experience in a service environment would be an advantage

This 4-month Graduate Program will commence 21 July 2025.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply, you must have:

  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or be an Australian Permanent Resident at the time of applying
  • Have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree or be due to complete it by the commencement of the program
  • Be willing to relocate to a regional location for either the 4-month program or your first permanent role outside of the program.
  • Commit and be available to commence full time employment in July 2025.

Pros

  • Amazing Culture and People. Employees are valued and recognised for the hard work that they put in. The company has a very supportive environment and has many different learning and development opportunities available."

  • Flexible working (WFH), emphasis on work-life balance. Big organisation so lots of areas to get involved in and explore.

  • Great learning opportunities - 3-4 rotations depending on your dream to get exposure to different parts of the bank. Good work-life balance.

  • Employees are recognised for the hard work and initiative that they take which gives them the opportunity to further our career development.

  • The graduate culture is amazing and everyone is very social and happy to catch up.

Cons

    • Sometimes we have to navigate lots of old tech and systems.

    • Because it’s such a large organization, it can be tricky to know the ins and outs of what each function does, but that comes with time, experience and exposure.

    • Sometimes have to work long hours.

    • There were lots of stages of the interview process

    • We don’t get any bonuses. Apparently they used to but they stopped a few years back.
