Your role

Nielsen Sports is looking for a new team member to join the growing Client Service team, who are responsible for managing the relationships with our portfolio of clients. This role would suit someone who is looking to take on a client-facing role and has an interest in sports marketing and research.

Nielsen Sports is a trusted adviser and partner in sports and entertainment consumer research, media evaluation, and data-driven consultancy, helping clients worldwide to plan, optimise and measure the impact of their initiatives against business objectives. With its expansive suite of products and services, Nielsen Sports is uniquely positioned to provide data-driven insights and intelligence which help drive more effective decision-making for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day contact for a range of clients, responsible for maintaining client relationships with support from the broader Client Service team
  • Oversee the end-to-end project delivery for client projects (including kick-off through to presentation), covering consumer insights, media evaluation, sponsorship valuations, and economic impact studies
  • Identify opportunities to help grow the business and drive outcomes for clients, with support from the broader Client Service team  
  • Assist in contract negotiations within your client portfolio
  • On-boarding and training clients on Nielsen-owned analysis tools
  • You will be required to monitor and manage processes, both internal and external, work closely with other Nielsen team members and interact with clients

About you

Here’s what we are looking for in this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a business/commerce background (recent university graduates are encouraged to apply)
  • Interest in the business of sports, media, events, and entertainment and a sound understanding of the Australian sports landscape
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a high level of business acumen
  • Commercial mindset and acumen 
  • Understanding of numbers, with the ability to interpret and present data
  • Past experience with sales, customer, or client-facing roles in a sport, marketing, or business environment would be looked upon favourably
