Your role

The Data Entry team plays an important role in maintaining the foundational data on which their business is built. They are responsible for delivering high-quality, accurate data directly to their clients every day of the year. They work closely with internal teams and play a major role in producing quality data which Nielsen is renowned for. They need people who are self-motivated and goal-orientated. 

  • Shift times can range between 5-8 hours per shift.
  • The weekday hours of the department are from 8 am-8 pm, while the weekend hours are from 9 am-5 pm on Saturday.
  • Saturday shifts are only half a day. Either a morning or afternoon shift is required.
  • All applicants must be available for a monthly rotation of at least one Saturday shift.
  • Applicants will need to make themselves available for a minimum of three (3) shifts per week, including a Saturday at least once a month.
  • All applicants must be available for a rotation of both mornings, middle of the day and evening shifts during the week.
  • More shifts are available depending on workload.
  • This is a casual office-based role in Lane Cove West, Sydney.
  • Reliable transport options are essential (such as major bus lines)

Responsibilities:

  • Transferring accurate data across multiple databases at an exceptional pace
  • Liaising with technicians across the country and troubleshooting problems
  • Basic data analysis
  • General data entry of documents and administrative duties as required
  • Generate reports as required
  • Provide administrative support to the team

About you

Here’s what we are looking for in this role:

  • Proven experience with fast and accurate Data Entry or relevant background in education 
  • Bookkeeping experience will also be looked at favourably.
  • Fast typing skills
  • Reliable and always on time
  • Flexible and able to fully commit to the rotation shifts
  • Fluent in English with excellent spelling and listening skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Competent computer skills especially Excel and confidence to learn new software quickly
  • Good at adapting to and incorporating procedure changes to existing systems
  • Ability to keep to deadlines and stay focused on repetitive work
  • Basic research skills (such as internet search)
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, within a global company
  • Experience or interest in the media business or market research
  • This is an entry-level position and casual role at Nielsen.
