Your role

A vacancy currently exists within Nielsen’s Information Technology department for a Junior System Administrator.

  • UNITAM Reference Environment
  • Network Management
  • Infrastructure Management
  • Data Delivery Agreements
  • Asset Management
  • Installation and Testing
  • Fault Rectification
  • Security
  • Backup
  • Documentation
  • Processes
  • Travel
  • Able to travel interstate to support regional offices and UNITAM reference sites.

Additional duties:

  • Comply with all reasonable directions and instructions given to you by the Director of IT Services or the IT Manager.

About you

Here’s what we are looking for with this role:

  • Qualifications (Diploma, or Degree) in Information Technology or similar
  • One of more Technical certifications from Microsoft/Red HAT/VMware or Cisco 
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Troubleshooting skills of Windows desktop.
  • Networking/infrastructure skills (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with Administration of Microsoft Windows and Linux servers.
  • Understanding of Windows Active Directory.
  • Practical knowledge of Network technologies and typology operations.
  • Must have good time management and organizational skills, be punctual and reliable.
  • A high level of customer service skills is essential, with an ability to relate to people at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Desire and willingness to collaborate and engage with others in order to achieve team success and goals
