Overview

  • 6-12 week paid product management internship (flexible dates)
  • 100% remote work: travel while you complete your internship!
  • Potential for continued part-time or full-time work

About Prosple

Prosple runs a global network of job boards designed exclusively for students. Founded by uni graduates in Australia in 2015, our job directories, blogs, videos and application guides now help more than 5 million young people make informed, inspired first career choices each year.

Weโ€™re a rapidly growing organisation that combines the best of innovative startup culture with exciting scale-up growth opportunities. Weโ€™re looking for insanely smart, kind and curious individuals who want to punch above their weight and work with us on our most pressing problems.

Your role

Weโ€™re looking for a talented product management intern to help us understand, identify and execute solutions to the most pressing problems our student and employer users face.

During your internship, youโ€™ll be responsible for the ideation, primary research, wireframes, user testing and execution of one or more important product features. Youโ€™ll work closely with other product managers, designers, data scientists and engineers as you bring your project to fruition.

This is definitely not your average internship, itโ€™s an opportunity to gain real-world experience in a coveted profession that doesnโ€™t usually offer university entrance pathways.

Being a Prosple intern will not only push you professionally, but also give you an invaluable opportunity to build incredible relationships for your future career. Youโ€™ll get exposure to some of the 300+ leading employers that work with Prosple as well as interns and mentors from around the world.

Salary & benefits

  • A$45,000/yr (pro rata for the period you work)
  • Flexible start and finish dates - give us your preferences and weโ€™ll work around you.
  • 100% remote and asynchronous work - work where and when you want

We donโ€™t believe that travel or undertaking a top tier internship are mutually exclusive - why not get paid while you travel?

Career progression

  • Product Management is an exciting, challenging and lucrative career path for those with a passion for solving user problems
  • Interns that demonstrate excellent intuition, problem solving and project management may be invited to continue working with Prosple on a part-time or full-time basis (according to their schedule)
  • Completing this internship will give you an immediate head start in applying for other tech companies like Atlassian, Google or Apple.

Work life balance

  • We value outputs over inputs; there are no prizes for how long you sit at your desk, but great results are celebrated wildly.
  • Our asynchronous work culture means you can schedule your work around your life (as opposed to your life around work).

Culture & vibe

  • Weโ€™re a high-performing team that gives everything to help students make better early career decisions.
  • We believe in freedom and responsibility - we donโ€™t care where, when or how you work, so long as you produce incredible results.
  • We embrace true remote and asynchronous work (not just pay lip service to it)
  • Our values of judgement, impact, ownership, honesty, kindness and courage shape everything we do

About you

This internship program is open to all current university students and recent graduates with a passion for creating stunning digital products.

More specifically:

  • You are a natural problem solver and love finding elegant solutions to difficult problems
  • You have experience working on your own entrepreneurial ideas or websites
  • Youโ€™re data driven and comfortable working with statistics and modelling
  • Youโ€™re interested in UX and understand best practice principles
  • People often say youโ€™re the smartest or most curious person they know
  • You have no problem working hard, but you prefer to work smart

How to apply

Weโ€™re accepting applications now for a start date in early January 2023 (flexible for the right candidate).

Apply by sharing your CV,  a short cover letter, and links to any projects youโ€™ve worked on via the apply button below.

Note: Applicants that progress through to the next stage will be required to complete a small task.
