The QAL Cadetship Program is a 2-year program designed to provide students studying with a variety of professional experiences. By the end of the 2 years, the cadets will have developed theoretical academic and practical skills necessary to apply for permanent employment with QAL through the Graduate Programs.

The Cadetship Program is a fixed-term employment with a perfect balance of study and onsite work, allowing students studying at a university to broaden their skills, apply knowledge and gain practical experience in a diverse industrial environment through exposure to a broad range of functions across sites. This is achieved by having multi-disciplinary rotations, a personalised development plan, and a coaching and mentoring support network of subject-matter experts in conjunction with Central Queensland University.
