About the role

We are looking for a focused Payroll Support Officer (AS3) to join our friendly Financial Control team on a fixed term basis.  Through hands on experience and ongoing training you will be given the skills to contribute to the provision of employee entitlements including wages and salaries. 

Using your positive attitude and excellent communication skills you will ensure a positive customer experience for internal stakeholders. You will be required to provide informed, accurate advice to educate customers on their entitlements, financial policies and certified agreements. This role will also require a high level of administrative skills to ensure processes are completed with a high degree of accuracy.

What your day will look like:

  • Receive on the job mentoring to develop your skillset to become a Payroll Professional
  • Providing administrative support to the Payroll Team to deliver the payment of salaries and wages.
  • Provide informed advice to employees on entitlements in accordance to policies and agreements.
  • Maintain accurate records on QR’s payroll systems including SAP and SuccessFactors
  • Maintain accurate administrative records in accordance with audit requirements

With ongoing career development to support your professional growth, this position would suit a graduate looking for their first step into payroll or finance.

This role may require some outside of hours work given the cyclical nature of this function, allowing for potential overtime.  This is a fixed term contract, ending on 12/04/2024 with an annual base salary of $72,081 + 12.75% superannuation.
