We are looking to engage Engineering Students from the following disciplines:

  • Civil / Structural
  • Mechanical
  • Electrical
  • Telecoms
  • Software development

As a Student Engineer with Queensland Rail, you will:

  • Get focussed time with a functioning engineering team
  • Get involved in engineering projects for small jobs delivering projects under direction of an RPEQ engineer.
  • Visit site works and inspect assets.
  • Analyse Data.
  • Develop reports to support our asset management and maintenance work.
  • Get support for developing and delivering a thesis with a topic relevant to work at Queensland Rail.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for you to have the following attributes:

  • Understanding of engineering methods to solve problems and provide engineering deliverables that provide commercial value to Queensland Rail.
  • Understanding of a project or component of a major project and deliver business focussed engineering outcomes.
  • Substantial level of interpersonal, negotiation, oral and written communication skills including building relationships with stakeholders.
