Your role

The Bosch Australia Manufacturing Solutions (BAMS) department is a leader in the design and development of special-purpose equipment and machinery. It combines a passion for solving complex engineering challenges with unmatched expertise in supporting the manufacture of a wide and diverse industry base with its purpose-built machines. The department is passionate about its work and strives for success within its experienced and highly skilled team. Due to the nature of the position, some local and interstate travel may be required.

Robert Bosch (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Undergraduate Process Student Engineer Student to join their BAMS on a full-time basis for 12 months commencing August 2023.

You will gain valuable experience and knowledge as an integral part of the BAMS team. Some of the tasks that you will undertake with us include: 

  • Gain exposure to Automation projects and support in any suitable robotic, simulation, and vision activities as required
  • Document and build on existing information available on Simulation processes, information, and databases to support efficient project support and improve standardisation across Simulation activities
  • Perform 3D simulations using Industrial Simulation Software
  • Document and build on existing information available on Robotics processes, information, and databases to support efficient project support and improve standardisation across Robotics activities
  • Configure and program Industrial Robots and Machine Vision Systems
  • Design small mechanical assemblies in Solidworks or Siemens NX
  • Working with other BAMS Engineering Teams in Electrical Design, Mechanical Design & Control Software

About you

You will have excellent attention to detail, have the ability to prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines, work well with teams and have excellent organisational and communication skills.

To be considered for the Student Program, you are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled in and completed units towards an Engineering (Robotics/Automation/Simulation) Undergraduate degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrate a keen technical interest
  • Experience using drawing software (CAD) would be advantageous
