Rohde & Schwarz is a privately owned global company with circa 12,000 workers and a leader in the design and manufacture of solutions for test and measurement, broadcast and media, secure radio communications, cybersecurity, radio monitoring and radiolocation. We sell our equipment to both government and private organisations, design, integrate our products and deliver system engineering solutions and provide local calibration and testing service options within our ISO and NATA accredited on-site labs.

About the Role:

Our Graduate Calibration Service Engineers will be working on world-class test and measurement technology, doing the following tasks: 

  • Calibrating and performing adjustments on electronic measurement and test equipment;
  • Using test software to calibrate measurement and test equipment;
  • Performing manual calibration procedures on test equipment and evaluating associated measurement uncertainty;
  • Solving problems requiring breadth/depth of knowledge of calibration, metrology principles, and preventative maintenance techniques; 
  • Recommending corrective actions resulting in solutions that are cost-effective and enhance the process;
  • Repairing test equipment on module level, occasionally component level;
  • Using daily work schedules to appropriately factor volume, priority, customer expectations, and service centre goals into decision-making processes;
  • Maintaining high workmanship standards and delivering on commitments.

Your Qualifications:

  • Undergraduates who are in their final year of studies or graduates who have completed their degree in the past two years are welcome to apply;
  • Relevant degree in Engineering, preferably major in Systems, Radio Frequency, Mechatronics, Electronics, Communications, Aerospace;
  • Demonstrable leadership and/or achievement in sport, education, recreation, community and/or the arts;
  • Australian citizenship or appropriate entitlement to work in Australia;
  • Able to hold or be eligible to obtain Australian Security Clearance.
