The WA Government have advised that it is mandatory for all people who attend a mine site, oil or gas facility or remote operations centre (ROC) to be vaccinated against COVID-19, including all visitors to these sites.
The new directions aim to address the risks posed by the movement of resources sector workers to and from regional and remote locations in the State, with many mine sites located at or near remote Aboriginal communities. The mandate will also safeguard mining operations in recognition of the sector’s importance to our state and country.
Roy Hill requires all employees who will be working at or visiting an operational site, including the Perth Control Room to be double dose vaccinated. Employees are additionally required to receive their third Booster vaccination within one month of becoming eligible.
