Your Story with Us

We are seeking a enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic finance team on a part-time basis. This role is integral to our accounting operations, offering a blend of traditional and innovative accounting practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of activities including operations, planning and projects. This position offers an excellent and rare opportunity for someone who wants exposure to a broad range of finance related activities to deepen their accounting & strategic knowledge in a fast paced, VC backed scale up business.

  • Payroll: Take charge of our monthly payroll, and play a pivotal role in our main payroll process, ensuring every team member is rewarded accurately and timely.
  • Financial Transactions: Handle all accounts payable and receivable, ensuring the financial engine of our startup runs smoothly with precise record-keeping and punctual transactions.
  • Expense Management: Become the go-to person for managing and approving employee expenses, maintaining impeccable accuracy in data and documentation.
  • Invoicing Champion: Excel in invoicing our partners, ensuring all deals are financially accounted for, reinforcing our reputation for financial diligence.
  • Reconciliations: Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations, being the guardian of our financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Tax and Returns: Support the team with ATO returns, navigating the intricacies of tax submissions and payments.
  • Month-End: Assist in the crucial month-end closing process, ensuring our financial reporting is timely, accurate, and compliant.
  • Customer Liaison and Financial Control: Efficiently manage our finance inbox, fostering positive relationships with customers, while also maintaining and enhancing our financial controls and processes.
  • FP&A Innovator: Dive into financial analysis to inform strategic decisions, support budgeting and planning processes, and lead or support transformative finance projects.
  • Business and Fundraising: Engage with wider business initiatives and provide pivotal support in financial modelling and forecasting for capital raises.

Your Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
