The Role

Security Consulting Group (SCG) are seeking Graduate Engineers in the fields of Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunications (ICT) Engineering to join the Canberra team focusing on the delivery of Defence and Government projects.

As a Graduate Engineer with SCG you will gain insight into all areas of the firm, from design to construction and project management. Your role will be to assist our Senior Consultants and Engineers in the delivery of our Security and ICT projects, both small and large. 

Utilising your engineering skills and technical knowledge, you will work amongst our team of dedicated well-known industry leading professionals to help design, coordinate, and deliver security and ICT services for building and infrastructure projects across a broad range of market sectors, focusing primarily on clients with complex security environments. 

Skills that you will develop and gain throughout your graduate experience with SCG will include:

  • Ability to design sophisticated and highly integrated electronic security systems comprising of electronic access control, CCTV Surveillance and perimeter intrusion detection system and the associated communications network infrastructure.
  • Use of Computer Aided Design programs (Autodesk REVIT) used in the building construction industry with full training provided.
  • Ability to effectively work with and collaborate with Architects, other Engineering disciplines, Project Managers, Builders, Trades, and other stakeholders in order to deliver successful projects.
  • Ability to think critically and using the engineering design process to solve unique challenges.
  • Site inspection and project delivery experience.
  • Project management and consultancy skills.
