Job Description

Sales Engineers are responsible for satisfying the needs of those about to become customers in an effort to maximize their experience with SOTI products. This includes, providing technical support, revenue generation in net new customer acquisition and add-on sales, partner enablement training and following up on existing support cases as needed. This position demands that one maintains a high level of customer service through all interactions as a SOTI representative and consistently engage with the sales team to identify revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow revenue through consultative selling with clients and prospects, presenting a warm, professional, well-spoken and caring persona as an effective representative of SOTI
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations onsite and remote to showcase value of SOTI products
  • Provide pre-sales technical support and guidance to prospective customers
  • Obtain market segment insights and generate recommendations for product roadmaps (feature requests)
  • Investigate issues reported by customers or found internally during Proof of Concept (POC) process, and communicate with internal product development teams to resolve product issues
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
  • Provide email and telephone-based presales technical support for our software products
  • Assist with execution of internal team projects and initiatives

Qualifications

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of computer networking principles (Firewalls, Network Protocols, Sub-netting, etc.)
  • Foundational knowledge of mobile and desktop computing platforms (Android, iOS, MacOS, Linux and Windows)
  • Able to plan, prioritize and organize workload, consistently working within service standards and agreed objectives
  • Basic understanding and/or knowledge of business processes / sales cycle
  • Great attitude and orientation for Customer Service (Sales)

Nice to have

  • Professional Certifications or Industry Designations
  • Any sales training and/or experience
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Certificate Authorities, CRM solutions
  • Basic understanding of Rest APIs and coding (i.e. Java Scripting, HTML, etc.)
  • Basic understanding and experience with databases (i.e. Microsoft SQL server, MY SQL, MongoDB and others)
  • Basic understanding or knowledge of Cloud Computing
  • Multilingual capabilities
