What you’ll do

The Finance & Commercial team owns the management of the P&L and all commercial negotiations for the W&M business unit with key racing and distribution stakeholders and suppliers. The team has the lead on governance processes and policies and is the key to linking approved corporate strategies to business unit strategy. 

Support in the preparation of external and internal financial reports, reconciliation, and review to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.

  • Support the Finance Manager to prepare consolidated monthly results and management reports for the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly cost performance reports for Business department heads.
  • Participate in the half-year and full-year results process, including the development of presentation material for the CEO/CFO.
  • Participate in the annual budget planning process engaging with relevant stakeholders. 
  • Provide analysis and support to the F&C team to liaise with departments on monthly financial performance against budgets, and expense variance analysis.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting for business requirements.
  • Project work as required.
  • Comply with Tabcorp’s internal policies and procedures.

What you’ll bring

  • CA/CPA qualified, or working towards CA/CPA qualifications highly regarded
  • Some Commercial experience.
  • Strong spreadsheet and modeling skills.
  • Good communication skills, both orally and through written reports.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Outstanding quality of work, attention to detail, and accuracy.
