About the Team

The Video Architecture is the video middle platform department of TikTok, supporting the on-demand, live streaming, real-time communication, image, and multimedia business development of TikTok. The goal is to become a leader in the industry's multimedia solutions and build an extreme video technology/product service experience.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2024. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Watch your ambitions become reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok

Candidates can apply to a maximum of two positions and will be considered for jobs in the order they apply. The application limit is applicable to TikTok and its affiliates' jobs globally. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - we encourage you to apply early.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-protocol application gateway, distributed device manager, trending video predictor etc.
• Optimize edge CDN transmission cost and improve service quality.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Undergraduate, or Postgraduate who is currently pursuing a degree/master's in computer science or a related technical discipline.
• Proficient in at least one programming language, including but not limited to Java, C, C++, PHP, Python, Go

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master solid computer basic knowledge, in-depth understanding of data structures, algorithms and operating system knowledge.
• Excellent logical analysis ability, able to reasonably abstract and break down business logic.
• Excellent learning and communication skills.
• Familiar with large-scale distributed systems.
• Familiar with P2P, CDN, and Live-streaming.
• Availability for a minimum of 6 months for the internship
