About TotalEnergies Australia

TotalEnergies Australia is a broad energy company that produces and markets fuels, natural gas and electricity. Their 100,000 employees are committed to better energy that is more affordable, reliable, cleaner and accessible to as many people as possible. Active in more than 130 countries, their ambition is to become a responsible energy major.

Your role

TotalEnergies Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) is the Company's business division in charge of investing in, scaling up and managing integrated and communities-inclusive nature-based operations that capture carbon. The purpose is to build the group’s negative carbon reserves in line with the core climate and neutrality strategy and the overall transformation of the Company toward a multi-energies carbon-neutral corporation.

NBS invests in and manages new carbon sinks (plantations, improved forestry management, etc.) and conservation operations (avoided degradation and deforestation among others), with a budget of $100M/year.

Your missions will be:

  • Understand the basics of local and international carbon markets and nature-based projects with a strong focus on positive social and environmental impacts (co-benefits);
  • Actively contribute to the Business Development team activity and its growth in the Asia Pacific zone:
  • To identify, analyze and participate in the selection of new business opportunities aligned with the TENBS and Company strategy;
  • To research and verify data from and on identified prospect projects;
  • To produce internal presentation documents to defend the selected deals;
  • To participate in contact and discussions with potential external partners (NGOs, investment funds, development agencies, private companies, etc.);
