In this role, you'll

Be working as an integral part of a dynamic and supportive team involved in the delivery of installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead traction power equipment critical to keep Sydney moving.

Based at Strathfield, you'll ensure the safe and reliable operation of the electrical 1500Vdc and high and low voltage AC aerial lines. You'll carry out both major periodic and regular routine maintenance, inspections, and corrective works.

About you

You have a high level of safety awareness and always role model good safety behaviours. Your strong attention to detail, accuracy, ability to problem-solve, and technical knowledge and experience are impressive. You also have a head for heights!

You have an understanding and proficiency of all types of traction overhead line construction, associated accessories, plant and equipment as well as being able to read and interpret plans and specifications. You adapt to change well, enjoy embracing new technology and are willing to learn and share new ideas and skills.

You hold a Cert III in Distribution Overhead or ESI Rail Traction along with experience working in a construction or maintenance environment.

You hold a current full NSW Class C driver's licence and feel at home driving large vehicles and/or UTE.

These are shift-based roles in a 24/7 environment, you will work as part of a team to support our network and as such will be required to work night shift, weekend work, overtime and on-call availability as well as living away from home if required.
