About Vanguard Australia

At Vanguard Australia, they’re changing the way the world invests. By living their values and working with care, clarity, and courage, they’re making success accessible to everyone. Their core purpose is simple—to take a stand for all investors, to treat them fairly, and to give them the best chance for investment success.

Your role

Enterprise Investment Services exists to drive investor success through world-class investment services. The division is comprised of Investment Operations, Global Investment Data Management and Securities Lending functions. The division is responsible for pre/post-trade lifecycle management, Investment Book of Record generation that drives investment decisions and delivering a high-value securities lending program to our clients. EIS is part of a collaborative global team that aims to deliver operational excellence, insightful analytics and white-glove support to Investment Management Teams. In this program, you will rotate through various groups within the EIS division and have the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of asset classes across the full suite of Vanguard investment products.

You’ll begin the program in the Reconciliation team, building a deep understanding of all global portfolios, both equity and fixed income, with an emphasis on capturing any difference between our internal IBOR and Custody. You’ll then move into one of the specialist teams within Investment Operations where you will hone your knowledge on a specialised area of the investment management process, these may include Trade Management Oversight, Investment Book of Record, Derivatives or Corporate Actions. Your final rotation will be closely aligned with the Investment Management Group in either the Investment Data team, providing index data and adjustments that portfolio managers track their portfolios to, or Investment Support, which works closely with both the local Trading and Investment Management Group.

Following the completion of the program participants will have the opportunity to launch into a permanent role.
