About St George:

Set on the scene of the mighty Balonne River, St George is a beautiful country town full of charm and friendly faces. Whether you like water sports or sipping wine, St George has something in-store for you. As with all country towns, St. George is full of that country spirit we all know and love on Farmer Wants a Wife - in fact, Balonne Shire has featured on the program on more than one occasion!

Everyone who moves to St. George falls in love with its heritage buildings, beautiful riverside lifestyle and a strong sense of community.

About Inverell:

Nicknamed ‘Saphire City’, Inverell is a beautiful town in northern NSW, sitting at the heart of gemstone country. Inverellians love a social event and hold many in town including races, balls and festivals. This social culture is also found in the sports teams and by the banks of the Inverell Lake reserve where people are found fishing or having a BBQ/picnic. A scenic drive north leads you to Kwiambal National Park, where there are more bushwalking tracks, as well as mountain bike trails and top spots for fishing and camping. Try river fishing on the Slippery Rock walking track or instead try your luck fossicking for sapphires and other gems near this elegant town on the banks of the Macintyre River. At the very least, google some of these names and see what you are missing out on…

About Roma:

The biggest and best outback adventures start in Roma. You can enjoy a laid back lifestyle and belong to a caring community of a well-known country town.  We have the biggest cattle sale yards in the southern hemisphere, Queensland’s biggest bottle tree and learn about the discovery of oil and gas in Australia at The Big Rig in Roma. Roma is well known for its social sports, balls, Picnic Races, Food and Fire festivals, and Easter in the County.

Throughout the region, there are truly spectacular ancient landscapes and unique flora and fauna. There are eight established tourist drives, perfect if you are looking to get off the beaten track, plus fully guided eco-tours available.  Carnarvon Gorge National Park offers towering white cliffs, huge rock overhangs adorned with ochre stencils, and engravings from an ancient and ongoing culture, and an array of well-established walking trails.
