Nous largely looks at your ability to think in a structured way, draw out key findings from data (qualitative and quantitative), and communicate insights in a clear and compelling way for clients (usually through PowerPoint or Word).
I’ve travelled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for training and to rural parts of Australia to work on ESP equipment. I’ve met people from different parts of the world and learnt about different cultures I wouldn’t have experienced otherwise.
On all the projects I have worked on, the team environment was and is productive and positive. On my current and past projects, the teams have and had built strong relationships.
The construction industry was out of my comfort zone when I first started (and a little now, I’m still learning) so most of the experiences I have had here are a first for me!
My role is to update the slide pack with any recent safety alerts sent from other Thiess sites or our client, our monthly safety performance and a list of incidents from the last seven days.
On Thursdays, we have our weekly classified plant meeting. One of my responsibilities as a graduate mechanical engineer is ‘Wet Plant’ registered plant.
