Emma Birch studied Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Bachelor of Science – Geology & Geophysics at the University of Sydney and is now the Head of Asset Management Program Management Office at Hydro Tasmania.
What I love the most about my job is the flexibility around planning your own week – and the travel – I love traveling to different areas of the state, even out of the state, and even just going to different workplaces, doctor’s offices even cafes.
I love working as a graduate engineer at Viva Energy because it’s a really fulfilling role. I’m consistently challenged in a way that encourages growth, which is something I was looking for in a graduate program!
Personally, I’m looking forward to volunteering and creating awareness about digital skills, especially because I want to see more women in technology.
